13 Abr WHAT SHOULD NOT BE MISSING IN YOUR HAND LUGGAGE?
If you’re about to travel by plane and find it challenging to pack your suitcase, consider these tips on what should not be missing in your hand luggage.
Before you start: read the airline’s rules to know the dimensions and weight of hand luggage and the allowed and prohibited items; and the regulations of the destination country to know what you can bring in and what you can’t (especially regarding medications and food).

Document pouch
Depending on your destination, include: passport or identification document, visa, vaccination certificate, and driver’s license. Tickets and boarding passes can be carried either in print or on your mobile, and the same applies to travel insurance and accommodation reservations.

Wallet
Your wallet with money and debit or credit cards should always be in your hand luggage. Sometimes checked luggage experiences delays in reaching the destination, so it’s essential to have the essentials with you. The same advice applies to car and house keys.

Mobile and accessories
It may seem obvious, but your mobile phone, charger, and headphones also make the list, as well as a portable charger. It can be useful for accessing the onboard entertainment service, listening to music, or watching a series you’ve downloaded in advance.

Sleep kit
A pillow for sleeping (preferably inflatable, to save space), an eye mask, and noise-canceling headphones or earplugs are some items that can help you sleep on a long flight.

Book and/or notebook
A book can be your best companion during a flight, especially on long-distance ones. Another option is to bring a notebook and a pen to write or draw.
Water bottle and snacks
It’s very useful to bring an empty bottle to refill with water at the airport after passing security control and to stay hydrated during the flight. You can also include nuts or other snacks for the journey.
Extra clothing
Add two sets of underwear, a scarf (which can serve as both a pillow and a blanket), and compression socks to arrive with rested legs.
Toiletry bag with hygiene items
Bring the basics: toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant, and moisturizer. Remember that they generally need to be in containers of up to 100 milliliters, in a transparent bag with a hermetic seal and a capacity not exceeding 1 liter.
Disinfectant wipes
To clean any surface on the plane or for whatever you need.
Adapter
In case it’s necessary at the destination. Consider that it can be useful for basic things like charging your phone when you arrive.
