Taste Atlas has released its 2025/2026 global ranking, once again proving that food is one of the world’s true universal languages. This new edition highlights culinary traditions, iconic dishes and classic desserts that delight people across every continent. For a Ghanaian audience, where food plays a central role in culture and social life, the ranking offers fresh inspiration and a reminder of how flavours connect people everywhere.

In the Top 10 cuisines, Italy takes first place thanks to the strength of its regional cooking and its global influence. 

It is followed by Greece and Peru, both celebrated for their strong culinary identity and rich variety of flavours.

 Rounding out the list are Portugal, Spain, Japan, Türkiye, China, France and Indonesia — a clear sign that tradition, technique and local ingredients continue to shape global food trends.

The Top 10 dishes invite readers to travel through taste. Highlights include Paraguay’s comforting Vori Vori, Italy’s classic Neapolitan Pizza and Tajarin with white truffle from Alba.

The list also features Indonesia’s Sate Kambing, Türkiye’s Cağ Kebabı, Greek Kontosouvli, Peru’s Arroz Tapado, Serbia’s Komplet Lepinja, Mexico’s popular Quesabirria and Italy’s bold Pappardelle al Cinghiale.

In the dessert category, the Top 10 confirms the strong presence of Türkiye and Italy. 

Antakya Künefesi, Gaziantep Baklava and Fıstık Sarma share the spotlight with pistachio gelato, strudel, Puerto Rico’s Tembleque, French sweet crêpes, Lithuania’s Tinginys and Portugal’s traditional Pão de Ló de Ovar.
