05 Jul Keep photos of your documents and bookings offline
One of the most useful yet underrated tips: digitize everything before your trip. Scan or take photos of your passport, ID, travel insurance, vaccination cards, and all your key reservations (flights, hotels, tours). Save these images in a folder on your phone that you can access offline—or upload them to Google Drive or Dropbox.

This can save you tons of time if anything gets lost, and can be a lifesaver in unexpected situations: theft, last-minute changes, or customs checks. It’s also helpful in places where language is a barrier—just show your hotel name or address from your file.

Extra tip: write down important phone numbers (yes, the old-school way) like your embassy, bank, or insurance, just in case your phone dies. A small act of foresight that can save you a lot of trouble.
