The concept of national parks began in the United States with the creation of Yellowstone in 1872. 

The idea was to preserve natural areas for public enjoyment and protect wildlife and vegetation from commercial exploitation. Inspired by the conservation movement led by figures like John Muir, many countries adopted the model.

Iconic places such as Banff National Park in Canada or the Picos de Europa National Park in Spain followed suit.

These spaces not only offer breathtaking landscapes but are also essential for biodiversity and sustainable tourism.
